This was my first time to Tahoe. It offers so many things to do, BUT by far, a must do on each of my returning trips will be this cruise. One of the best moments spent in lake tahoe were on this cruise.

We were staying at LT Vac Resort which is next door to the marina. Boarding was easy and Captain Clark and Crew were very helpful. After boarding, we went to top of the boat to enjoy the views. Weather was in the high 50’s, Sunny and the only time a light blanket was needed was while moving fast. Blankets are provided. Water was smooth and very little wind. (The next day’s winds were hitting 60mph). Crew was visible if help was needed, but they gave you the space needed to just enjoy the day. The 60 year old Safari Rose still held its elegance and history from bygone days. There were 59 people sailing on the 80’ boat and it was not crowded. Cruising through Lake Tahoe and the beautiful Emerald Bay. Fannette Island is bigger than it looks & beautiful up close. The Tea House proudly still sits at the highest point. We had taken the hike down to Vikingsholm the day prior & saw it from there. There’s a few places of interest in Emerald Bay. EB once was a glacier hundreds of years ago & after melting EB was formed. So much history and information given throughout our tour. Great 3 hours on the water. Highly recommend

I did the cruise today under clear blue skies and glorious sunshine. The crew is great, the commentary is informative and the food and drink is outstanding. I was struck by the sheer beauty and serenity-it was even better than I’d hoped for. I came all the way from Australia to tick this off the bucket list and the staff at Tahoe Cruises was great on email and phone with the planning and on the day itself.
They use a contract photographer to take your picture and you’re able to purchase from the dock post-cruise. I didn’t intend to buy but the photography was so good I was happy to hand over $20.

The folks running the Safari Rose were very friendly, the boat was great, snacks and booze good. Highly recommend this tour. We did the sunset Cruise....perfect!

Had a great sunset cruise on the Safari Rose! The crew was great and provided great drinks, appetizers, commentary and blankets to enjoy the scenery. Kids enjoyed feeding Jonathan the seagull. Loved the unique boat - highly recommend this!

Welcome aboard Tahoe Cruises, where your journey begins with essential information to ensure a smooth sailing experience. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time to allow for check-in and boarding procedures. Our dock is located at the picturesque Ski Run Marina, offering ample parking and easy access. Remember to bring a valid ID and your booking confirmation for verification. We recommend dressing in layers, as weather conditions on the lake can change rapidly. For your convenience, refreshments and snacks are available for purchase on board. We look forward to providing you with an unforgettable cruise on Lake Tahoe.

In case of any changes to your booking, please contact our customer service team at least 48 hours in advance. We strive to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Enjoy the breathtaking views and the serene beauty of Lake Tahoe with Tahoe Cruises, where every voyage is a memorable adventure.

Cruises depart from Ski Run Marina

  • No outside food or alcohol is permitted on the boat and there is no smoking on this beautiful all-wood vessel.
  • All cruises runs cruises rain or shine.
  • Changes and cancellations must be made 48 hours or more before your scheduled cruise.
  • Late cancellations will be responsible for the entire ticket amount.
  • Non-cancellations/no-shows will be charged the full amount of the original cruise booked.
  • Groups of 10 or more will be assessed a 10% gratuity that will be charged the day of the cruise​.

Our cruises run RAIN OR SHINE. At Tahoe Cruises, we understand that plans can change, and we aim to offer flexibility with our cancellation policy. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled departure will receive a full refund.  Late cancellations will be responsible for the entire ticket amount. Non-cancellations or “No-Shows” will be charged the full amount of the original cruise booked. Coupons MUST be submitted at time of booking & will NOT be honored after a reservation has been submitted. Coupons are non-transferable and have no cash value. Discounts/promos/coupons can't be doubled..

We encourage our guests to contact us as soon as possible if they need to adjust their plans. Our customer service team is available to assist with rescheduling options or any other inquiries you may have. Please note that in the event of severe weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, Tahoe Cruises reserves the right to cancel or reschedule cruises for the safety of our passengers.
