The Safari Rose offers an elegant setting for up to 68 guests, accompanied by a professional crew of 3–4. While she can host a full capacity event, many groups prefer a smaller gathering—around 35 guests in the cooler months—to ensure everyone can relax comfortably inside.
Originally crafted in 1959 by the 3M Company, the Safari Rose was built with rich mahogany and teak, showcasing timeless craftsmanship. Awarded “Yacht of the Year” in her debut, this world-traveled vessel now graces the emerald waters of Lake Tahoe, offering your guests an unforgettable backdrop of beauty and history.

How many people can join a private charter?
Private Charters up to 30 people. The Safari Rose can accommodate a group of up to 65. This would move to the Event Charter category.
How long are the charters?
Charters are available in multi-hour blocks. Contact us for available durations and scheduling.
What’s the difference between a private charter and a private event?
A private charter is a simpler, more casual booking — you rent the boat, bring your group, and cruise. Private events involve more coordination, customization, and planning for larger celebrations. Not sure which fits? Give us a call and we’ll point you in the right direction.
Can we bring our own food?
Outside food and beverages are not permitted on Private Charters. We have in-house catering options available for food. Your bartender will be on board to handle drinks, and we’ll make sure your group is taken care of.
